Getting Started
- Different makes & models of phones work differently - make sure you know how yours works!
- Post activation of your Airtel prepaid, insert the SIM card in your handset and switch it 'ON’.
- At the prompt, enter your PIN, which is preset to 1234.SEZ AIRTEL will now be displayed on your handset.
- Your calling value is already loaded onto your prepaid account with initial validity.
- You can dial 100 to select your preferred language. This will be your default language every time you call the prepaid IVR.

Making a Call
Different tariffs may be applicable for peak, off-peak hours & night rates.
Peak: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. - Monday to Friday
Off - Peak: 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. - Weekdays, Weekends
Night rate: 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. - Weekdays, Weekends
Off-Peak rates applicable for Public Holidays
Making Local calls
Dial the full number
E.g.: To call 600 600, you must dial 600 600.
Making International calls
Dial 00 (International Access code) or +, followed by the country code, the area code and the land line number.
E.g.: If you want to call the United Kingdom, you must dial +44<number>
Recharging your Prepaid
Recharging is Easy. The calling value on your card keeps reducing as you make calls or use any other chargeable service. A variety of prepaid recharge coupons with different denominations are available at a number of outlets in Seychelles.
There are two methods of recharging your Airtel Prepaid Account. This can be done electronically through Efasil or by purchasing recharge coupons.
Calling Value / Validity Alerts / Grace Period
The calling value on your card has to be utilized within a specific period of time called validity period. So remember to recharge your prepaid before your value/validity expires.
The validity periods of your prepaid are as follows:

Even if the validity of your card expires, you get a grace period of 30 days to recharge your card & retain your number. During the grace period, you are not allowed to make outgoing calls, but you can receive incoming calls & SMS’s. If you do not recharge within your grace period, your card will be permanently deactivated.
Balance and Validity Enquiry
Using IVR
To check your account balance and validity, simply dial 100 and select option 1 then 1 again.
Using Prepaid Shortcuts (USSD)
You can also get to know your account balance on demand by simply dialling *220#. Your account balance is instantly displayed on the screen of your handset.
Other
At the end of each chargeable call your account balance is automatically displayed on the screen of your handset.

Value Vouchers
A value voucher is a scratch card that allows you to temporarily switch to another tariff class. By simply purchasing the voucher at a minimal cost you can benefit from a lower rate. To checkthe status of your value voucher using Prepaid short code, simply dial *221#. On the other hand, to load a value voucher, dial *223*<voucher ID>#.
Useful Tips
Lost, Stolen or Damaged SIM Card
All cards must be carefully handled & kept. If it is lost, stolen or damaged, it cannot be deactivated and therefore may be misused. Any credit left on the card will be lost.
Security
Airtel Prepaid strongly advises you to change your PIN from 1234 to a personal four digit code for reasons of security.
Recharging
Airtel recommends that you recharge your card within your validity period and before your calling value drops to SR10. If you do not get your card recharged within the 30 days of expiry of your validity period, your Airtel Prepaid Card will be deactivated.
Other
Petrol Stations
Ensure your mobile is switched off at petrol stations. Mobile phones transmit electrical energy that could be hazardous in the vicinity of flammable liquids & fumes.
Driving
The use of a mobile phone while driving on a public road is prohibited unless a hands-free car kit is installed or another legal hands-free device is used.
Keep Seychelles Clean
Ensure that when you are finished with your recharge card, it is destroyed and disposed of appropriately.
